Challenge

Fundraising is an essential activity for NFP’s, charities and social sector organisations – no money, no impact! But fundraisers, like their sales and marketing peers in other sectors can find it difficult clearly articulate their own values and connect emotionally with audiences.

Attendees at this interactive workshop hosted by FIA represented a range of highly respected and influential organisations – all seeking insights to help craft more compelling narratives that inspire trust and action.

Solution

ImpactInstitute’s immersive workshop experience gave 16 participants fresh storytelling insights courtesy of our proprietary Beliefonomics framework™.

Mark Jones, Chief Storyteller, and Kate Zadel, Head of Client Engagement introduced attendees to key models for storytelling development and discussed their relevance in the context of real-world case studies from The Benevolent Society, Western Sydney University and Charity:Water.

Interactive breakout sessions then gave participants the opportunity to put these new audience-centric approaches into practice, crafting new origin and growth stories. By focused on donor belief systems they were able to reflect on existing approaches and devise new strategies.

Outcome

  • Use storytelling frameworks to drive emotion, clarity and action
  • Align personal and organisational values with high-impact storytelling strategies
  • Create powerful ‘belief moments’ that inspire trust and long-term support
